Who we are
This website is operated by Petroau LLC, a limited liability company registered in Sheridan, Wyoming, USA. In this policy, “Petroau”, “we” and “us” refer to Petroau LLC. You can contact us about this policy at info@petroau.com.
Information we collect
We collect personal information only in these situations:
- When you use the contact form. We receive your name, work email address, company name and the message you write.
- When you email us. If you email info@petroau.com directly, we receive your email address, your name and anything you include in your message.
- When you visit the website. Our hosting and spam-protection providers process technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you request, in order to deliver and protect the site.
You can read and download Petroau Research reports without registering. We do not use analytics or advertising tools on this website.
How we use it
- To reply to your enquiry and keep a record of our correspondence.
- To protect the website and contact form from spam and abuse.
- To operate, maintain and secure the website.
If you are in the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area, we rely on our legitimate interests in responding to enquiries and keeping the website secure as the legal basis for this processing.
Service providers
We use the following providers to run the website. They process information on our behalf and may do so outside your country, including in the United States.
- Vercel Inc., which hosts the website.
- Google LLC (Google Workspace), which hosts our email, where enquiries are received and stored.
- Resend, which delivers contact form messages to our inbox.
- Cloudflare, Inc., whose Turnstile service checks that contact form submissions come from people rather than automated programs.
We do not sell your personal information.
International transfers
Our service providers may process information in the United States and other countries. Where personal information from the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area is transferred, we rely on safeguards offered by those providers, such as standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries and related correspondence for 12 months after our last contact with you, and then delete them. If an enquiry leads to a business relationship, we keep the relevant records for as long as needed for that relationship and to meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations.
Your rights
If you are in the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area, you have the right to ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to receive it in a portable format. To make a request, email info@petroau.com; we will respond within one month. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) in the United Kingdom, or to your local data protection authority in the European Economic Area.
If you live elsewhere, you may have similar rights under local law. Contact us at the same address and we will help.
Cookies
This website does not use advertising, analytics or tracking cookies.
